Rattlesnake Ridge 6th grade student Bryant Banzhaf claimed the title of Spelling Bee champion. Other spelling bee winners hailed from Twin Peaks K-8, Marana Middle, Tortolita Middle, and Butterfield Elementary.

Butterfield Elementary, within the Marana Unified School District, is a K-6 school offering the highest quality inspiring and enriching education in a safe, nurturing, and award-winning learning environment.
Students receive additional opportunities through 21st Century Learning Center classes. Examples include: Wright Flight, Vex Robotics, Calligraphy, and more.
Butterfield offers a wide variety of academic learning for students and all students receive additional support through Title I funding including; Lower class sizes, reading and math specialists, and more!
Elementary Specialist Programming 100% of Butterfield Elementary School students participate in Visual and/or Performing Arts and Physical Education weekly, along with Elementary counseling, library/media center, music and more.
Collaborative partnerships allow our school to leverage family, school, and community resources to remove barriers to learning and provide essentials to families in need.
Butterfield Elementary is pleased to announce the achievement of Level 1 certification in Marzano High Reliability Schools™. Level 1 certification means our school has created a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture,” which is the foundation for every level that follows.
