Associate Principal
I am honored to have the ability to continue my journey at Butterfield as the associate principal. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with the most committed and passionate people. This community of educators works diligently to increase academic success and empower students to go out into this world as leaders. Our school being at the heart of this community allows us all to join together and celebrate our students’ growth. I am eager to be a part of an enthusiastic culture of learning.
I was born and raised in Tucson and had the great pleasure of attending Butterfield as a student. I continued my educational career at Tortolita Middle School and graduated from Mountain View High School. My experiences as a student at Butterfield fostered the decisions that led me to where I am today. Over the years, there have been many teachers that have touched my heart and encouraged me along the way.
I began my career as an educator at Butterfield in 2008. I taught fourth grade for two years and then chose to move to first grade. I taught first grade for six years and absolutely loved the true desire these young kiddos have for knowledge. I believe that as educators we have to build a high level of trust with our students and spend time building and nurturing supportive relationships. The best part of my job has been the amazing relationships I have built with my colleagues, students and parents.
At Butterfield, we are dedicated to creating a culture of learning that supports exploration and individualized academic experiences. We will work together to create a community that supports our positive behavior expectations to be respectful, be responsible, be safe, and be productive. Our collaborative efforts will impact our students and guide them to be well-rounded, educated citizens in our community.
I am looking forward to the journey we have ahead of us. It is going to be amazing!
