Rattlesnake Ridge 6th grade student Bryant Banzhaf claimed the title of Spelling Bee champion. Other spelling bee winners hailed from Twin Peaks K-8, Marana Middle, Tortolita Middle, and Butterfield Elementary.

Butterfield Elementary custodian, Guadalupe “Lupita” Badilla, was honored as a Divisional GEM of the Year award recipient from SSC Services for Education.
